Ferma Energy was founded by three experienced renewable energy development professionals with a common goal of restoring environmental balance through innovation and
renewable energy projects.
Our team brings extensive technical expertise to leading greenfield development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across North America. We maintain strong partnerships with our landowners, working closely with them through every stage of the project development process.

Managing Partner
Mike Brugge
As a Managing Partner, Mike Brugge leads project development and business strategy at Ferma Energy. Mike has over 12 years of experience in the development, engineering, construction management, and operations of utility scale wind, solar and storage projects in North American and the Caribbean. With Mike’s leadership, over 3GWs of renewable energy projects have come to fruition. Mike is a University of Windsor graduate with a Bachelors and Masters of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering. He is dedicated to decarbonization and has a keen interest in rewilding our communities.

Managing Partner
Bogdan Dinu
Bogdan Dinu is a Managing Partner at Ferma Energy, overseeing the company’s strategic partnership and land acquisition efforts. Bogdan has over 14 years of experience in renewable energy, primarily focused on development, construction, and operations for large-scale commercial and utility-scale solar portfolios in North America. In his roles, Bogdan has been instrumental in generating over $50 million in revenue through the sales of early-stage and Notice to Proceed (NTP) renewable energy projects. Bogdan holds an HBSc. in Economics and Psychology from the University of Toronto. He enjoys traveling and values time spent with friends and family.

Grant Johns
Grant Johns is a Managing Partner at Ferma Energy, focused on operations and finance activities. With over 10 years of experience in renewables, Grant has leveraged his engineering background and industry knowledge to support the development of over 1.5GW of assets, with a successful sale of 800MW, in just two years. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems from the University of Western Ontario. Grant is passionate about combating climate change and advancing green energy solutions for a sustainable future.
